Opened to service in 1987, Beihai Airport is one of the three major airports in Guangxi province. It is now under extension to the international 4E level. Qinzhou-Beihai Railway connects with Qinzhou-Fangcheng, Nanning-Kunming and Litang-Zhanjiang railways, providing access to the entire national railway network.
The second class Beihai-Nanning Highway was opened to traffic in 1990. The Guilin-Nanning-Beihai Expressway opened to traffic in October 1999, In addition, Beihai-Zhanjiang and Beihai-Yulin high-class roads are in the planning stage.
